Children learn lessons in site safety at Stokes Rise

In preparation for the Christmas holidays, Mulberry Homes invited pupils from Bringhurst Primary School to their new homes development at Stokes Rise in Great Easton to give them a lesson in building site safety.  The talk was given to over 50 pupils across the course of the morning and held to promote key safety messages to local children led by Mulberry Homes Site Manager Craig Gilbert.

Mulberry Homes is currently building new homes at Stokes Rise in Great Easton, less than half a mile from Bringhurst Primary School.

Mrs Muto, Teacher at Bringhurst Primary School, said: “The visit was extremely engaging for the children, giving them a chance to point out what they thought the various hazards on a building site could be.  They loved wearing their own hard hats, seeing a digger in action and hearing what life as a housebuilder is like.”

Craig Gilbert, Site Manager at Stokes Rise, said: “As a housebuilder, it’s important to involve the local community in our developments so we were delighted to welcome Bringhurst Primary School to visit our Stokes Rise development in Great Easton.  Safety is paramount to Mulberry Homes. Building sites, with their big machinery and new structures, can often seem like exciting places for children but we also need to make sure they understand that they can be dangerous places and are certainly not somewhere to explore or play over the Christmas holidays.”

Welcomed in the local community and nestled in the heart of the village, Stokes Rise is a collection of superior four bedroom family sized homes modelled on the lasting character of the area.  The village contains a public house, shop and primary school on its doorstep and the nearby towns of Market Harborough and Corby provide a fast rail link into London St Pancras.

Homes at Stokes Rise range in price from £545,000 – £799,950 with Help to Buy and Part Exchange available.  The marketing suite is located off Broadgate, Great Easton LE16 8SH and is open Wednesday – Monday from 10am to 4pm.  For more information please call 01536 771404 or follow the housebuilder on Twitter @mulberryhomesuk or on Facebook Mulberry Homes.
