Mulberry Homes Provides a Fresh Start For Eleanor and Lucas in Kibworth

After moving back in with her parents following a break up, single mother Eleanor Jones was unsure of how she would get back onto the property ladder in a family home big enough for her and her four-year-old son.

She had driven past the Mulberry Homes development Harcourt Gardens in Kibworth Harcourt previously, but assumed the properties would be out of her reach.

But thanks to the help of Sales Negotiator Claire, she discovered a shared ownership scheme called Home Reach, which is offered by the developer in partnership with heylo housing, an affordable housing provider. This meant Eleanor (39) and her son Lucas, were able to get back onto the property ladder in a home they wanted to live in.

They recently moved into their new three bedroom home on the development and are already reaping the benefits of the location and layout of their property.

Eleanor, who is a nurse, said: “I was really keen to get back onto the property ladder and move out of my parent’s house but because of the numerous schemes available I was stuck in a bit of a fog and didn’t know what to do.

“I decided to go to Mulberry Homes and the Harcourt Gardens development to find out more information and that’s where I met Claire in the marketing suite. Everything just fell into place and she’s completely transformed our lives.

“I didn’t just get the sort of home that I was hoping for; I got one that was much bigger and much nicer than I could have dreamed of. The shared ownership scheme was just amazing and I couldn’t have moved without it.”

Eleanor is originally from Stoneygate in Leicester but wanted to stay closer to her parents, who live in south Leicestershire, because of Lucas. She fell in love with the area of the development and Kibworth Harcourt as a whole because of its independent shops and cafes and great transport links.

She is now getting ready to start a new nursing role at a nearby hospital and Lucas has secured a place in the primary school close to the development.

Eleanor added: “We are really looking forward to meeting more neighbours as the development progresses and are already really getting on well with the whole community.

“The site team have all been incredibly friendly and welcoming and we can’t thank them, along with Claire, enough for their help.

“From the word go the moving process has been so smooth and so easy to do so I’d definitely recommend Mulberry Homes to anyone I know.”
