The proposals will ensure the new community is well integrated with the existing, and will introduce elements to enhance the existing community offering.
For example, a café/bistro will be open to members of the public, located within the Extra Care building.
A community hub building is also proposed to offer a space for functions, meetings, exercise and local events. This will be located at the site entrance so that it remains accessible and welcoming.
Delivery of the scheme would allow for:
Delivery of up to 232 new homes
Employment into the area
70 care apartments and 22 specialist supported living dwellings
A new community building/visitor centre bringing sport and leisure to the area
Eco friendly community facilities including EV charging points and electric cycle/scooter parking
